"A California sea lion munches on a mola mola at the Nine Mile Bank. The sea lion first caught the mola as we showed up. As we slipped into the water the sea lion continued to break the mola’s hard skin until it was finally able to get inside. For 45 minutes the mola tried to swim away but wasn’t able to escape the speed of the sea lion. By the time we left the sea lion was chest deep in the mola."
